Terms of service

In effect from 2 September 2026 · Ontario, Canada

1. The publisher

StrifePeek is published at strifepeek.com by an individual, Connor MacDonald, of 2232 Bloor St W, Toronto, Ontario M6S 1N6, Canada, telephone +1 416-769-9909, e-mail editors@strifepeek.com. There is no company behind the site and no other person is authorised to speak for it.

2. What this site is

StrifePeek is an independent editorial desk that describes and compares a small, fixed shelf of dessert-themed mobile games listed in the Google Play store for Canada. It is a reading site. It does not distribute software, does not host installation files, does not operate a store and does not act as an agent, reseller or affiliate for anyone.

StrifePeek is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Google LLC, the Google Play store, Flipline Studios, King, Living Code Labs, FALCON GAMES, Pragmatic Play, or any other developer, publisher or brand mentioned anywhere on this site. Every such name is used descriptively, to identify the product being written about.

3. Accepting these terms

By reading StrifePeek you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. No account is created and no continuing obligation arises on either side beyond what is written here.

4. Editorial content and how it should be read

Factual figures on this site — the studio name, store category, star rating, number of ratings and store price — are transcribed from the Google Play Canada listing on the date of the last review pass shown on the home page. Store listings change without notice, and a rating or a price may already have moved by the time you read it. Always treat the store listing itself as the authoritative source.

Anything that is not a transcribed figure is opinion: the session lengths, the description of a learning curve, the offline assessment and the desk score out of ten are the operator's own editorial judgement, formed by playing the titles. They are offered as a starting point for your own decision and are not advice, certification or a guarantee of quality, suitability or performance on your device.

5. Intellectual property

The written text, the page design, the layout, the comparison table and the site name are the property of the operator and are protected by the Copyright Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42). You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link to the page quoted. Republishing whole pages, mirroring the site or reproducing the comparison table elsewhere requires written permission.

Screenshots, application icons, game titles, logos and all other material taken from the store listings remain the property of their respective rights holders. They appear on this site in reduced form, for identification and commentary on the products described, which is a fair-dealing purpose under the Copyright Act. No claim of ownership is made over them and no endorsement by the rights holders is implied.

6. Trade marks

Google Play and the Google Play logo are trade marks of Google LLC. All other product and company names on this site are the trade marks or registered trade marks of their respective owners. Their use here is nominative and does not indicate any relationship with the operator.

7. Installing and buying titles

StrifePeek does not sell anything. Where a title carries a price, that price is charged by Google Play, not by this site, and the operator receives no commission, referral fee or other benefit from any install or store purchase. All installs, store purchases, family sharing arrangements and refund requests are handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and refund rules, and the operator has no access to those processes and no ability to influence them. Questions about a charge, a subscription inside a game or a refund must be raised with Google Play support or, where appropriate, with the developer of the title.

There is no StrifePeek subscription, no members' area and no paid tier of any kind. The site is free to read and carries no advertising of its own.

8. Rights holders, corrections and right of reply

If you are a developer, publisher or rights holder and believe that something on this site is inaccurate, out of date, or uses your material beyond what fair dealing allows, write to the address in section 1 with the page address and a short explanation. Corrections are made or the material is removed within five working days of a request that is substantiated, and a right of reply of reasonable length will be published alongside the entry if you ask for one.

9. Availability and disclaimer

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The operator does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of technical inaccuracies, or that any particular title will still be listed, still cost what is stated, or behave on your device as described. To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, all implied warranties and conditions are excluded. Nothing in these terms limits any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (S.O. 2002, c. 30, Schedule A) that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or from reliance on anything published here, including any decision to install or buy a title. Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, for a wilful misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law of Ontario.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site, to scrape it at a rate that degrades service for other readers, or to reproduce it in a way that suggests it is your own work. Indexing by ordinary search engine and advertising-review crawlers is welcome and expressly permitted in the site's robots file.

12. Links to other sites

This site refers to the Google Play store and may refer to other external resources. Those services are outside the operator's control and a reference is not an endorsement.

13. Complaints before any claim

If you have a complaint, please raise it first by e-mail to the address in section 1, setting out what happened and what you would like done. The operator will reply within fifteen working days. Both sides agree to attempt to settle the matter in that correspondence before starting proceedings.

14. Governing law and courts

These terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of the use of this site are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts of the Province of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, and both sides submit to the jurisdiction of those courts, without prejudice to any mandatory right a consumer may have to bring proceedings in the place where they live.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as the site changes. The version in force is the one published at this address, and the date at the top of the page is the date it took effect. Continuing to read the site after a revision means the revised terms apply.

16. Contact

All notices under these terms go to Connor MacDonald, 2232 Bloor St W, Toronto, Ontario M6S 1N6, Canada, or by e-mail to editors@strifepeek.com.
